• Meet HARRY CAT - Canada's first feline to receive the Libre Disc for Feline Diabetes.

    At 9th Life Cat Rescue, we dedicate ourselves to managing the feral cat population through effective Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) programs. This humane approach not only stabilizes the cat community but also promotes their well-being and reduces the strain on local resources. Our Commitment to Feline Welfare We are primarily a TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return) organization looking after the feral cat population in Southeast Saskatchewan but we handle other cat related projects as well.

    Harry was rescued and vetted and was found to be Diabetic. Managing feline diabetes is tricky as best and normally involves a combination of insulin therapy, a low-carbohydrate diet, regular monitoring and spaying or neutering to improve insulin sensitivity. Harry was neutered so that was not an issue.

    In addition to TNR, we engage in various projects aimed at supporting the health and safety of cats in our area. From fostering kittens to organizing adoption events, our efforts are driven by a passion for helping every cat find its place in the world.     Harry's blood sugar levels were checked regularly and were generally out of whack.
