  • Project North

We first met Marshall in 2021. He asked for help to control the feral and semi feral cats in his community. At first we helped out with cat food then realized that wasn't going to be enough. There were over 30 cats that would regularly visit his property for food . A TNR ( Trap Neuter Return) program was set up . With help with over $3000 raised in Marshall's community we started trapping cats with his. The next year he offered his help when we came across a trailer that was going to be demolished. We went to work and recovered alot of materials that would later be used to make winter cat houses for his yard and for others in the area. The following year we added a few more heated cat houses and important water stations that we kept thawed by using fish tank heaters . With donations received from his community we manageto buy bulk cat food and also educate others on the importance of getting ferals fixed as well as their personal house cats. Without people like Marshall to show concern and give a hand when needed his community would still have a overwhelming number of cats . There is still more work to be done but asignificant number of cats are now fixed and vacinated to help decrease what once was a staggering number of ferals . Over a dozen people in Marshalls community donate regularly to help keep these cats fed and vetted . All the money raised in his community stays in his community for the cats.
